Manila, Philippines – TeamRecruit recently upgraded their Philippine office’s employee health insurance to Maxicare. TeamRecruit, a recruiting firm and RPO services provider for healthcare and technology companies, sought out the best health insurance in the Philippines with packages that perfectly fit the health and wellness needs of their Philippine team.

After much research, TeamRecruit leaders selected Maxicare Healthcare Corporation, one of the pioneers in the Philippine health insurance industry. Maxicare has more than 24,000 affiliated doctors and specialists, 1,400 hospitals and clinics, 1,000 dental clinics, and 180 rehabilitation, dialysis, and eye centers, and is considered one the best health insurance providers in the country.

The decision to choose Maxicare as the company’s health insurance was due to better benefits and coverage, such as an increase in maximum benefits, memberships allowing for probationary employees, a much more comprehensive array of affiliated doctors and hospitals, additional coverage for dental and psychiatric consultation, and the inclusion of life insurance, among other options.

Employee wellness has always been a priority with TeamRecruit, having partnered recently with Mind You, a mental health platform that provides preventative therapy and counseling for TeamRecruit employees.

This culture of protecting employee wellness is attributed to Eric Allison, CEO and Managing Partner of TeamRecruit. A people-focused leader abreast in new ideas in employee welfare and development, Allison is very proactive in initiatives and activities pushing for his employees’ wellness in and out of the workplace.

Cybill Getgood, Chief Marketing Officer, says, “Last year, we surveyed all of our staff, and we found out that many of them valued having health insurance. This is one of our ways to listen to them. As people-focused leaders, we value what our employees value.”

TeamRecruit will also carry out a physical challenge program where the best fitness coaches in the Philippines will be invited to conduct weekly sessions and seminars for employees.

TeamRecruit is also determining the feasibility of a four-day work week for the company’s operations. It will allow employees more time for themselves and their families. Having seen the success of a four-day workweek with other companies, Allison hopes the four-day work week would also work for TeamRecruit.

“We look at the workplace not just from a performance point of view. We talk about purpose, and we talk about making our people’s time in TeamRecruit count. We’re investing in health insurance and all of these measures to ensure that our staff gets the physical, emotional, and mental well-being they need to do well in life,” says Getgood.
